Description
Case studies are a great way to join concepts taught in Forensics and Criminal Law classes with real life cases. Netflix’s documentary Making a Murderer showcases one of the most controversial criminal cases of all time and is sure to get your students TALKING! This 10-assignment case study project is designed to supplement the Netflix documentary Making a Murder (10 episodes; season 1) and features an assignment for each episode that engages students and ultimately sets the stage for your students to “take a stance” on the case. I recommend spreading the project over the course of 10 weeks (maybe every Friday). Don’t worry, you won’t need 10 weeks to complete this project, as it can be done consecutively for 10 days.
At the end of the study, students will compile their work and create a multi-media project that showcases their stance on the case.
