Are you looking for an engaging St. Patrick’s Day (March) STEM activity for your 3rd-6th graders? This activity provides a challenge for your students mixed with some holiday fun!
What does the challenge consist of?
Your students will be presented with a dilemma: Jack Frost has been stealing gold from Lucky the Leprechaun! Your students can help Lucky by building a Lucky Charm launcher that will throw Lucky Charms at Jack Frost the next time he tries to steal Lucky’s Gold!
Issue supplies to your students and presents the challenge to students (I have included a printable version as well as a PowerPoint version)
Allow the students to collaborate and brainstorm, completing the included “planning guide” worksheet.
Set the timer and watch your kids Go! Students will build and test their launchers using the Jack Frost printable as their target.
