Are you looking for a Winter-Themed STEM activity that will engage and excite your Science students? DON’T THAW FROSTY provides students with a task that allows them to use their creativity and imagination to design and implement a structure that will keep their friend, Frosty safe from the sun.
What does the challenge consist of?
Step 1: Your students will be presented with a dilemma: Frosty is in danger of thawing and needs help creating a home that will keep him safe through the Winter.
Step 2: Students will learn about insulators and how they can be helpful in their design.
Step 3: Allow the students to collaborate and brainstorm, completing the included “planning guide” worksheet.
Step 4: Set the timer and watch your kids Go! Students will use provided materials to build a protective chamber for Frosty and his friends!
