Description
Valentine’s Day can be a lot of fun for both teachers and students! What a better way to celebrate LOVE than with a festive STEM Activity?
What does the challenge consist of?
Step 1: Your students will be presented with a dilemma: Cupid’s wing injury is preventing him from flying across the river that separates his house from Lover’s Lane. He has to deliver his arrows and needs your help!
Step 2: Issue supplies to your students and present the challenge to students (build a floating device using only the supplies provided)
Step 3: Allow the students to collaborate and brainstorm, completing the included “planning guide” worksheet.
Step 4: Set the timer and watch your kids Go! Students will construct a floating device that will aid Cupid in crossing the river without sinking.
Step 5: Students will test the success of their creation to determine if they were successful in the challenge!
